 As a project engineer, you will be a key pivotal figure within the project team, providing input on tasks including the following:

Assistant site management on various infrastructure works (from 100 kEUR to 3000 kEur), ranging from earthworks, sewerage to paving and various constructions/street furniture. This includes site visits, taking measurements, directing workers, contact with the client and the engineering office, requesting prices, comparing prices, studying specifications and plans, planning, drawing up signage plans, correspondence, etc. We teach you on the project to set out measuring points, process design plans in GPS total station and make up an axisbuilt. Our men on the site will occasionally take you through their tasks so that you also become familiar with placing a coping stone or clinker, rolling foundations, placing manholes, connecting a sewer pipe,... CIT Blaton is present in several regions in Belgium on construction sites, with different construction projects (industrial buildings, hospital, multi-residential projects, commercial centers, civil engineering, ...).

During your internship, you will be closely involved in all day-to-day site or inside sales activities.

Profile

• Graduate, undergraduate or graduate student in a construction related field (site organization, construction engineering, civil engineer, industrial engineer, etc.);
• Motivated, organized, solution-oriented and proactive;
• Rigorous and precise;
• Fluent in Dutch, knowledge of French is a plus.

As site manager, you are responsible for the study, preparation, daily management on site, follow-up, organization and realization of your assigned projects from A to Z. You optimize your projects technically and financially and are assisted in this by your colleagues and other internal services. 

Our Tunnelling Division is a qualitatively valued partner and established value for tunnel drilling and pipe jacking for both public clients and industry at home and abroad. We drill tunnels for utility lines, among other things, in diameters from about 40cm to 4m. These are of course very special and interesting projects.

Smet GWT Europe - Drilltech performs vertical drilling for various purposes such as water extraction for industry and national drinking water companies, geothermal, geological exploration drilling, geotechnical ...

Every year, we offer a dozen students the opportunity to do their internship at one of our construction sites. Our construction sites, both within the discipline "Buildings" and "Civil Engineering", are scattered in Flanders and Brussels.

After an introductory interview, we will be happy to see if we can find an internship position that meets your expectations. 

In this internship project we offer both calculation and drawing work of a steel shed, founded on a concrete floor slab with ribs supported by piles. One can choose to draw only or the drawing work can be combined with calculation work. The options below give an indication of what can be expected. Both content and term can be customized. Another option of only drawing work is modeling a quay wall in Revit.

• Architecture - converts architectural design into executable detailing (in BIM/3D)
• Building physics - organize full-size tests for acoustics, bomb and bullet resistance, fire resistance, wind and water tightness...
• Planning - as a facade builder, you are one of the most important links in the whole process, because you are just in between the structural work and the finishing work

What can you expect during your internship at Vorsselmans?
Go along with one of our project teams to site meetings, visit construction sites and actively participate in our design process. 1. Accurate Cost Estimates:

• Collect and analyze construction-related data, such as material costs, labor costs, equipment costs and construction methods.

INTERN AT IBS AND WIN A FREE SKI TRIP WITH COLLEAGUES

Are you looking for an internship where you will come into contact with the various aspects of the construction process and be given the necessary responsibility that will allow you to learn a lot in the short term?

As assistant worksite/project leader you will shadow our experienced colleagues and learn on the job what the job entails.
You will help draw up the planning, supervise various teams, place orders, ensure quality control on the site, and so on.
We welcome several trainees every year and thus have extensive experience in guiding them and giving them an ideal internship experience.

Every year we also raffle off a "ticket" among our trainees to go on IBS's annual ski trip for free.
