Intro
Are you an industrial engineer with a passion for your profession? Do you want to share your experiences and inspire the next generation? Then "Engineers Now!" is for you!
What does the evening entail?
During Engineers Now! we give students a chance to talk to alumni in an informal setting. You, as an alumnus/a, will sit individually at a table and groups of students will visit in three different time slots to learn more about what you do as an engineer. The goal of this evening is for students to get an idea of what a workday as an engineer looks like, what responsibilities you take on, the different directions they can take with their degree, etc.
What profiles are we looking for?
We seek as many different profiles as possible to demonstrate that "the engineer" does not exist: not every industrial engineer in structural engineering ends up becoming a site or project manager, and not every industrial engineer in electronics-ICT becomes a programmer. Most students know these standard profiles and some also know that their future lies there, but other students are unaware of the range of possibilities and growth potential.
Your unique experience and career path can have a huge impact on the career development of our students. Whether you followed the typical route or took an unconventional path, we're sure your story will be valuable.
Timing:
- 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.: Reception + sandwiches
- 7:45 - 9 p.m.: Group discussions.
- 9 p.m. - 10 p.m.: Networking reception
