Company visit for college students

Does your company want a group of interested 17- and 18-year-olds to visit? Then maybe your company will be part of the program of the Open School Days at the University of Antwerp this fall! During the autumn vacations, third grade secondary school students are taking classes like real students, in preparation for their choice of study. For the first time, we also want to offer a company visit, to get them excited about a job as an engineer. The visit would fit into the offer of open classes of the Faculty of Applied Engineering of the University of Antwerp, for the industrial sciences courses (construction engineering, electromechanics, electronics-ict, and chemistry & biochemistry).

Practical

• This is a half-day during fall break 2025, i.e., the week of Monday, Oct. 27, through Friday, Oct. 31
• Morning or afternoon, e.g., 9 a.m. to noon or 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
• We are aiming for a group of about 20 to 30 students for the first time
• It is a plus if your company can provide transportation, e.g., its own company shuttle, or sponsorship of a bus
• Pick-up is at Campus Groenenborger of University of Antwerp in Wilrijk
• It is important that the company visit be tailored to the interests of 17- and 18-year-olds and the role of engineers in the company
• Interaction and room for questions is a plus
• The communications department handles enrollment and communication with students
