This afternoon offers a unique opportunity to connect directly with leading researchers in your company’s field of expertise. Discover how scientific research can strengthen your company—and vice versa.

  • Information session on collaboration opportunities and funding channels
Our experts from RIVA (Department of Research, Innovation, and Valorization Antwerp) will explain how collaborations between industry and academia can be established. They will also share some inspiring examples.
  • Keynote by MUCE
Anastasia Vandoorne-Feys, an expert from the Museum for Circular Economy and a researcher at REuseLab, will delve deeper into the need for and benefits of collaboration between academia and industry in an inspiring keynote that alsohighlights the expertise of our researchgroups‍
  • Experience our research in real life
Visit the demo booths of our research groups and discuss with them how Flanders can remain innovative by pooling resources and expertise. You can also engage in discussions with our research groups in one of the three thematic breakout sessions:
    • automation, sensor technology, computer vision, AI, and data analysis
    • materials, mechanical systems, manufacturing processes, and sustainability
    • energy, electrochemical processes, biotechnology, environmental technology, and chemical engineering

So don't hesitate, sign up and take this opportunity to explore collaborations that can move your organization forward!

Watch the aftermovie of 2025!

Organizers

  • BioWaVE: Biochemical Wastewater Valorization and Engineering.
    • BioWAVE (Biochemical Wastewater Valorisation and Engineering) focuses on the development and application of sustainable technology for the treatment and valorisation of industrial waste streams. The group is active in two areas: industrial water technology and industrial biotechnology.
  • Cosys-Lab: Co-Design of Cyber-Physical Systems
    • Cosys-Lab (Co-Design of Cyber-Physical Systems) specializes in developing new sensor technologies for embedded systems, control engineering, and designing energy-efficient mechanisms.
  • ELCAT: Applied Electrochemistry & Catalysis
    • ELCAT (Applied Electrochemistry & Catalysis) focuses on applied electrochemical reactors and catalysts to improve the controllability, flexibility, and energy efficiency of reactions.  The group is developing innovative batteries and new electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen, and ELCAT is working on a circular carbon economy by converting CO2 into basic chemicals.
  • EMIB: Energy and Materials in Infrastructure and Buildings
    • EMIB (Energy and Materials in Infrastructure and Buildings) aims to facilitate the transition to sustainable infrastructure and the built environment through its research. It investigates both the framework that sustainability must meet (energy efficiency, quality, etc.) in a changing context and the most efficient way to achieve this.
  • IDLab: Internet and Data Lab
    • The Internet and Data Lab (IDLab) focuses on challenges faced by industry in achieving digital transformation, connecting everything, and extracting high value from data.
  • iPRACS: Intelligence in Processes, Advanced Catalysts and Solvents
    • Intelligence in Processes, Advanced Catalysts and Solvents (iPRACS) investigates the circularity of organic materials by translating organic synthesis and catalysis into sustainable and economically viable processes. In this way, new organic materials are developed, plastics are broken down into their building blocks, and new chemical processes are designed.
  • InViLab: Industrial Vision Lab
    • The Industrial Vision Lab (InViLab) develops machine vision techniques that address challenges in industry and society, for example in smart health, pollution monitoring, heritage preservation, and sustainable materials. In addition, InViLab conducts defense-oriented research on situational awareness and contributes to smart shipping through camera-based navigation and autonomous inspection systems.
  • M4S: Modeling for Sustainability
    • Our newest research group, Modelling for Sustainability (M4S), uses the latest techniques in artificial intelligence and machine learning for the field of energy and climate.
  • SuPAR: Sustainable Pavements and Asphalt Research.
    • The SuPAR (Sustainable Pavements and Asphalt Research) research group specializes in fundamental and applied research into improving materials, management processes, and the design of sustainable roads, including developing and demonstrating innovations such as smart or self-healing roads.
