Summer School on Energy Transition
This summer course provides you with the knowledge and green skills you need to navigate the complex transition to carbon-free energy systems. Through interactive sessions and site visits in the vibrant Antwerp region, you’ll connect with academics, policymakers, and companies or organizations to explore innovative, practical solutions. The strongly inter- and transdisciplinary approach prepares you to drive change in the energy sector.

What can you expect from this course?
The transition of energy systems—from fossil fuels to a carbon-neutral system—is a sustainability challenge that is high on the agenda of policymakers (at the regional, national, and international levels), businesses, research institutions, and NGOs. Now more than ever, there is an urgent need for professionals capable of navigating the complexity of this challenge and facilitating initiatives that contribute to the energy transition. This summer course helps participants develop “green skills” (knowledge, skills, values, and attitudes) that are essential for developing and supporting a sustainable and resource-efficient society.
