Postgraduate Program in Leading Change by Design
Leading Change by Design is a brand-new postgraduate program. Developed by the Product Development Department of the Faculty of Design Sciences (University of Antwerp), it combines leadership development with the mindset and methodologies of design. It enables you to tackle complexity, learn through experimentation, and develop a goal-oriented approach to leadership.
Master design tools and techniques to inspire action and create sustainable transformation together. This is your chance to shift perspectives, embrace learning by doing, and lead impactful change through design!
What can you expect from this course?
Program Highlights
- A balanced approach: a learning program consisting of 25% theory, 25% applied frameworks, and 50% hands-on, challenge-based projects.
- Methodology: Learn the core principles of service design and systemic design and apply them to real-world situations.
- Personal development program: develop self-awareness and cultivate a mindset of self-leadership.
- Core Modules: Explore topics such as finding meaning in uncertainty, managing complexity, leading and driving change, and communicating for impact.
- Skill development: Gain expertise in complex problem-solving, interdisciplinary collaboration, co-creation, agility, creativity, scoping, and leadership.
- Expert guidance: Get inspired by more than 15 thought leaders and practitioners from academia and the business world.

Have you just completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree?
You have completed a bachelor’s or master’s degree in a specific field of study (natural sciences, social sciences, design sciences, applied sciences, humanities, etc.) and you want to further expand your knowledge and skills in an interdisciplinary context. You want to experience how design techniques can enrich your professional knowledge and equip you with the individual skills needed to function effectively in a collaborative setting.
