Quinten Schevernels
I am part of the team responsible for the in-house developed VSD drives at Atlas Copco. Within this team, I am the driving force behind everything related to drive tuning—that is, the optimal adjustment of control parameters.
Currently, my focus is primarily on developing our own self-commissioning procedures, in which motor parameters are automatically identified and the driver control is then automatically tuned based on these parameters. This involves combining MATLAB Simulink simulations with extensive validation tests in the lab.
In addition to my R&D responsibilities, I also support the product teams. In this role, I ensure that the drive's control parameters are optimally tuned to the specific requirements of each VSD compressor.
