Marijke De Cleer
Independent surveyor
I am currently a surveyor on both construction projects and for private individuals and have been doing this for about 13 years now. I graduated as an industrial engineer in structural engineering, surveyor option. I spend most of my time as a surveyor on tall residential towers and larger utility projects such as currently a large lock.
I do all the measuring and plotting work outside in the field but also do the prep work and post processing to deliver a nice plan.
There are lots of facets that come into play, but the best part of my job is the contact with all kinds of different people and the balance between the outdoor work and the drawing and preparation work in the office.
It really is a dream job.
