Ivan De Boi
Biography: Dr . Ivan De Boi is an FWO Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the University of Antwerp as part of the InViLab research group. His research focuses on the intersection of geometric machine learning, uncertainty quantification, and optimization under uncertainty, specializing in data-driven frameworks such as Gaussian processes and Bayesian optimization.
Prior to his current fellowship, he spent over a decade as a lecturer and research coordinator at Karel de Grote Hogeschool before earning his PhD from the University of Antwerp in 2024. An active supervisor and grant recipient, he manages several large-scale research projects, holds a patent for a computer-implemented spatial attention mapping system, and leads an interdisciplinary research network on Gaussian Processes.
