We develop new neighborhoods, breathe new life into existing ones, and create space for a growing population. In doing so, we ensure that amenities such as schools, sports facilities, shops, and cultural gathering places are accessible where residents need them. At the same time, we enhance the city’s green spaces and landscape quality, so that Antwerp remains a pleasant and sustainable living environment for everyone.
To make this forward-looking development possible, the Spatial Planning Department is working on citywide spatial visions and structures. These provide direction for the continued development of Antwerp as an innovative, livable, connected, and attractive city.
