Mechelen is home to one of Pringles’ largest production sites worldwide. Every day, more than 2 million tubes of chips roll off the assembly line, destined for markets in Europe and beyond. With 675 employees, the factory is a crucial link in Mars’ (formerly Kellanova) international supply chain. In 2025, the site was named “Factory of the Future,” a recognition of our forward-thinking approach to sustainability, digitalization, and innovation. For example, water consumption was cut in half thanks to an advanced recovery system, and the iconic Pringles tube was given a fully recyclable paper bottom. Energy efficiency is also a key focus: more than 13,000 solar panels on the roof provide 15% of the facility’s total energy consumption, marking a significant step toward climate neutrality.
